CSTS Vancouver's 8th annual event will be on Saturday, May 25th at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, 1100 Chestnut Street. Details are still being finalised as to times, but it will probably be afternoon only instead of the full day. Our blog will be updated soon at http://serenityscreeningvan.blogspot.com. |

I wish you could, too, William. Too bad we can't all do a tour of each other's events. I have been to the one in San Diego a couple of times when it was held during SDCC, but haven't even made it to Seattle. |

Tickets are now on sale at our blog: http://serenityscreeningvan.blogspot.ca. The event will be on Saturday, May 25th from 12:30 pm (doors open at Noon) to 5:30 pm. Tickets are $15/ $16 through PayPal on our blog. |

The swag has arrived! I haven't opened the box yet, but the outside looks fine. CSTS Vancouver has a scavenger hunt this year. You have to submit 10 different pictures of yourself with objects representing items from the show or movie. Details are on our blog: http://serenityscreeningvan.blogspot.ca. You must be present at our event to win. |

A very big thank you to Jewel Staite who has supported CSTS Vancouver since the first year and came and signed several items for us for our auction, including a Kaylee-parasol painted fan (from Firefly Cargo Bay), a crocheted Kaylee doll (from one of our staunchest volunteers - who also has done Mal and Jayne), the Kaylee lithograph in the Women of Serenity set (donated by another supporter) and two Finding Serenity books in which she had written an essay. Pictures will be going up on our blog later today. |

She really is. She came to our second CSTS event - introduced the movie ("So, it's about a ship's mechanic...and her friends."), then stayed through the movie and for an hour after, standing talking to people, signing things and getting her picture taken with anyone who wanted - all with a smile and a kind word - even though we were outside, since we had a short time at the venue that year. |

Thanks. I hope some people actually do it! I borrowed the idea from the original Serenity board - and the Toronto CSTS group. |
