Dear Everybody,

I am writing with a request for advice. In July, I will marry a very sweet, gentle, generous man--the very same man who introduced me to Joss Whedon's magic through Buffy, Angel, and Firefly. We are deeply dedicated to marriage equality, as well: we have gone door-to-door with Equality California and as part of our registry, we are asking wedding guests to donate to the ACLU's marriage equality campaign.

I'm having trouble finding the perfect gift from my true love. I'd like to buy him an a copy of any of the Buffy, Angel, or Firefly scriptbook autographed by Joss Whedon. Alternately, any book autographed by JW would be amazing. (He is not as interested in photographs or posters.) I just found out about the CSTS events, and realize we missed the SF screening and auction (nearest to us).

Do you have any suggestions for where to find such items? eBay was my first stop, but all they have is autographed playing cards and DVD covers. I've Googled everything I could think of, but haven't found legitimate autographed books for sale. I'd appreciate any help you can offer.

I'm sorry I wasn't more clear as to what this might have to do with CSTS--from what I can tell about the CSTS screenings, many of them have additional auction or memorabilia sales to raise funds. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to purchase any autographed item before the event, or participate in the auction remotely. I'm trying to learn as much as I can as quickly as I can, but I'm afraid that more events will go by before I can find out about their auctions/sales. I was hoping that anyone reading this could let me know if they have autographed items for auction/sale so I won't miss out. (If anyone happens to know of a solution that is not connected to CSTS, I'd appreciate that, too, but I was really asking about auctions or sales connected to CSTS in order for the money to go for a good cause, too.)

CSTS Global will be holding an ebay auction in a few weeks and again in September which will include a few items signed by Joss Whedon. Details will be posted on the main website soon.
