i thought some people here might find this interesting if they have a spare minute. about how a billboard ad's model is made to look like the final version

and some other clips made by the same company - the only beauty company who use real women of different shapes, sizes and ages in their ads that i've seen that isn't advertising anti aging or weight loss.

I have to admit I'm pretty tired of these Dove ads. It would be really great if the company actually believes what they're saying - and maybe some of them do, who knows - but it's a marketing campaign. Disguised as a revolution, sure, but the fact remains. Ogilvy and Dove want women to feel good about Dove, not feel good about themselves. If everyone said my skin is soft enough, tan enough, firm enough...they'd go out of business.
