From fossilfan_47401@yahoo.com (just spreading the good word):

Yes, that's right: The BDM will be making it's Standard Cable
Television Debut on the SciFi Channel this coming January. The 3rd to
be exact, a Saturday, at 9pm EST.

We need to make this an EVENT, a cause for Celebration. I would like
to recommend that both Individual Browncoats and Organized Browncoat
Groups take the time to organize Shindigs, Home Viewing Parties,
Public Screenings, Charity Events... whatever will draw people's
attention to the Film.

Let's give SciFi the highest Saturday Night Ratings they've ever had!
(It won't be hard; Have you SEEN the crap they usually Air on
Saturdays?!? lol)

The important thing here is to let the uninitiated know it's going to
be on. This is a golden opportunity to expand the Fan Base. Both
Locally, and on a National scale.

For my part, I have rented a Screening Room at The Cinemat in
Bloomington, Indiana for that evening. It's a video store, and the
room seats 70. Any and all Area SereniFly Fans are invited to
attend... for FREE! There will be snacks, popcorn, drinks and Beer
for sale at the concession stand. We're talking a great time, with
people who share our passion. That is an example of what could be
done.

After the BDM has been broadcast, another simple thing to do would be
to say Thank You. Just e-mail SciFi at feedback@scifi.com and tell
them you watched, and appreciated them showing the Best Movie Ever!

ok so here's my question. i'm an aussie so i'm not sure how your systems work.

1. The screening room. does it only show dvds? or can you also watch tv there?

2. the ratings thing. if you have 70 people watch it with you instead of at home on individual sets will this drop the ratings? or is ratings only collected by a certain select few people with special equipment and then they just work out a percentage?

i'm glad to see they're showing it on sci fi. and i hope the ratings are massive.
