For all things non CSTS related.

Hello, all,
I got picked to be my department's key captain for CFC (Combined Federal Campaign ) this year. (Yes, I'm thrilled.) I was looking through the catalog and noticed that Equality Now isn't listed as one of the eligible charities. Does anyone know why not?
I looked through the application form and I can't see any reason why Equality Now would not be eligible; maybe they never applied? There are a fair number of Browncoats in the federal civilian, military, or postal services who could donate via CFC's payroll deduction and it seems a shame to miss out on all those dollars every year!
How can we make this happen?

We'll pass this on to the good folks at Equality Now and see what we can find out. Thanks for letting us know!

Oh, thank goodness! I don't know why I couldn't find y'all on the PDF. Yeay! Now I don't have to look for a new charity.
Federal Browncoats: I wish there was a way we could add CFC donations to our annual CSTS totals. Federal employees donate a LOT of money through CFC (this year's goal is $64 million) and Federal employee Browncoats (there are a number of us) could make quite a showing, especially because most of us will donate using pre-tax payroll deduction. I just can't think of a way to track it--other than asking people to e-mail in the amount they've donated to EN for 2009 or 2010. What we need is a CSTS Key Worker....
Well, in the meanwhile, it can't hurt to remind all your federal employee Browncoat friends and neighbors to think about donating to Equality Now via CFC! Even $5 per pay period x 26 pay periods is $130 in 2010 from a single civilian federal employee.
CFC is only available to employees of federal institutions (I can't remember if it's open to contractors or not; it may be), postal workers, and all military employees. There are a fair number of Browncoats in this group! So, spread the word! I'll start with the NoVa Browncoats--half our number work for federal institutions.
