It would seem we're the first event of the year! *tremble*

Our event will be held in Blackwood Miners' Institute, which is in Blackwood, South Wales. We're planning a quiz, playing of the Serenity board game (I haven't taken it out of the box yet, so whomever gets there first will have the privilege of witnessing it!) and other fun things, topped off with a screeing of Serenity.

We're not quite set on all details, e.g. prices, but we're working as fast as we can. The website is and we'll be updating the info as soon as we get it.

Shucks. We thought we'd managed to get our Pittsburgh event registered first this year, but seeing as we were kind of lazy about announcing it in this forum, we certainly don't mind conceding that title to our fellow Browncoats in Wales, especially since they're planning a brand new event.

Welcome aboard, guys. On behalf of the PA Browncoats' Rivers and Bridges Brigade, I wish you all the best and hope your event is a smashing success. It's great to see CSTS still flying in the UK.

Wales is the first event being held this year. Pittsburgh was the first registered!

Shiny on both counts! As for tips and advice, the first tip I'd offer is to go back through the archives from previous years because a lot of folk have posted some very shiny ideas that have worked well for them. The second piece of advice I can offer is if you're going to have games at your event, come up with some form of credit so the Browncoats working your games don't have to handle money all night (which makes it easier on everyone and keeps the cashy money in one central location). We used a "Blue Sun Credit Card," and it worked really well for us. You'll find a detailed explanation in the 2013 archives. Again, good luck and congrats on blazing the trail for us all this year!

All we're doing is printing the names on sticker paper in different colours, and then sticking them to the back of our tickets; that way we don't have to worry about running out of a certain kind of ticket

We're using Papyrus font, so e.g our full price 'River' ticket looks like this: ('River' on the back, Logo on the front)
