Well NYC's event went well even though we had a fairly light turn out. We had about 25 attend our pre-party where we had a Chinese Auction. The actual screening had about 29 attending with very good participation during the auction of some cast signed items we obtained during the course of the year. Most if those attending were from our local brown group which is normally not the case. We're wondering if missed something on getting the word out to the larger audience.

We have a couple of very crafty Browncoats in our group which help create some very unique items which explains the success we have at our convention fan table. Check out our website to see some of the pics of the event. <http://browncoatsofnyc.info/2014_CSTS_Photos.php>

Total net for the CSTS day was about $1200, which combined with our other fund raising for EN, give's a total of 4390 for 2014. The check to Mandy at EN went out yesterday so she should have it by the end of this week.

As Rich stated, turnout was very light this year & we can't help but wonder if we missed something. In the past we had folks who were not part of the regular group join us for the auction & screening. It had been increasing difficult to find a venue. Getting confirmation at such sort notice this year decreased our chances of advertising.

We did have some very Shiny objects for our auction. Hand made soaps in the shape of Serenity packaged nicely in a box signed by Nathan & Alan!!!!! That was our biggest money maker. Second was a dinosaur bank signed by Alan. Having items signed by the cast always helps to bring in more money. I wish there was a way to get something from them every year through CSTS, instead of us trying to get them at cons & the like. It's getting more & more difficult to ask them.

We used the Square credit card reader at Philly Wizard World & at our CSTS, which was a great help.

I am already scoping out new venues to try for next year & every time I go shopping, I'm on the look out for that perfect Browncoat item
