The plan is to sell at the door too if tickets are still available.

Please note that you have to have a ticket to Comiccon for Saturday in order to get in.

I'm planning on having some contests and prizes ... Feel free to dress up from either movie ... Hopefully I will also be selling some items and possibly there will be an auction.

Well, Montreal's event has come and gone and I am thrilled with the results.
I ended up collecting a total 2232.00 ... 75% goes to Equality Now and 25% will go to the Montreal Children's Hospital.

This was our first event in Montreal since the inaugural year. The event itself went super smoothly. It was a little easier for me to organize because the venue was provided by Montreal Comiccon, so I didn't have to worry about payment or any technical issues, because they are all set up to deal with any issues that might arise. There was a tech in the room with me the whole time.

I ordered some items to sell that sold well and others that didn't, but because it was my first year, it was difficult to know what would be successful or not. I have a much better idea for next year.
I wish I could have done a bit more advertising so that it definitely something I will put on the list for next year.

I didn't have anyone helping me before the event, but on the day I had 5 people helping out and that was enough to set everything up and making sure it all ran ok before and after the event.

Looking forward to next year, assuming that Comiccon wants to make this an annual event.

Sounds like you did an excellent job. Hopefully next year you will get more people to help you so things will be easier for you.

Merchandise is always hit and miss. One year one item will not sell but then neat year the same items sells out.

The hooking up with Comicon sounds like a good partnership.

It ended up being a great partnership. I'm hoping to be able to do it again next year but it's too early to say.

Agreed on the merchandise ... you just never know.
