New for this year! We have arranged a hotel block so if you want to stay over and really make a day of it, you can! Once you see what we have planned for our post-screening shindig, you might want to take advantage of having a room.

It's our 10th year so we thought we need to celebrate it in a big way. Here's what we have planned for after the screening:

The Comedy Bar has agreed to host a Buffet Dinner at 5:00 pm, followed by a Firefly-themed Improv show at 7:00 pm. The cost for the evening is $40.

It's going to be a blast!

The fine print is that in order for this to go ahead, we need at least 75 people to come. So please be sure to buy your ticket! They will only be on sale until May 31st. There will be NO tickets at the door.

Buffet Dinner: 5:00-6:30 pm

MAINS:
Beef & Veg sliders
Mac & Cheese
Tacos: 1 chicken, 1 tofu (both Gluten Free)
Lasagna
Salmon with dill and lemon

SALADS:
Caesar - 1 with bacon, 1 without
Hummus Salad - parsley, tomato, cucumber, onion, lemon, hummus, vinaigrette

SIDES (both Gluten Free):
Coleslaw
Potato Salad

Veggies & Dip

A selection of desserts.

At 7:00 pm the Firefly Improv Show will begin and run for about 45 minutes.

Year 10 screening has come and gone. Hard to believe that I have been involved for 10 years. Who would have thought we would reach 10.

The Big Damn Movie on the Big Screen one more time.
The auction after the movie went well. Hopefully totals will come in soon.

After the movie, as always, we had a Shindig. This year was slightly different as we also had an improv show at a comedy bar along with a buffet dinner. I had some reservations about the show but it was a blast and it seemed everyone also had a great time.

We had a minimum number of tickets we had to sell. We made that and even had a small waiting list.

Congrats to my fellow committee members for all the amazing work and memories.

I was there and can attest that everyone seemed to have a great time! There were some tense moments in the auction when the bidding was fast and furious or really slow as people pulled out their wallet to see if they had enough money to up their bid.
I am glad to see that some committee members are willing to stay around and help if someone else is ready to be the new Organizer.
I'd say that Alex and the other Old-timers are due a rest! They've worked very hard for a long time. 10 years!!!
