Excited to announce that its time for the 10th annual Can't Stop the Serenity here in Raleigh NC. The event will be held Sunday July 19th at the wonderful Raleighwood Cinema Grill. As in years past we will be raising funds for Equality Now and Kids Need To Read.
We will have a raffle and costume contest before showing our Big Damn Movie Serenity! Doors open at 6:00 and we encourage our folks to arrive early and enjoy food and drink with your fellow Browncoats. Movie will start at 8:00 p.m. after we have had our traditional costume contest and raffle!
Those interested in sponsorship contact Jim at: jimshires@me.com
Those interested in donating items to our raffle contact Maer at: taimdala@gmail.com

Looking forward to another great year,
Jim Shires

The 10th annual Can't Stop the Serenity here in Raleigh NC raised a total of $6018 in 2015! As in years past, this amount is split between Equality Now (75%) and Kids Need to Read (25%).

The event was held Sunday July 19 at Raleighwood Cinema Grill with a raffle and costume contest before showing our Big Damn Movie Serenity! Doors opened at 6:00 so we could enjoy food and drink with our fellow Browncoats. Movie started at 8:00 p.m. after we held our traditional costume contest and raffle. This years raffle had more items than ever and while we didn't sell all of our merchandise (coins & shirts) I think the addition of those items plus an extra sponsor are what helped us reach this new threshold.

Our event sold out a few weeks in advance and raised more than we've ever raised before!
Raleigh will be doing a follow up event on Aug 23rd. We will screen Dr. Horrible for the first time ever. This event will be $5 and our goal is 100 people x $5 plus a mini raffle and also try to peddle some leftover merchandise. - Jim
