haha hey guys! I can tell you the official report will be coming within the next day / couple of hours. This years event was right in the middle of a busy time for me and my family. My brother was getting married a couple days before the event. Additionally, right after the event we had a family vacation. So as I am sure you can tell it has been very hectic around the house. I want to thank everyone who came to the St. Louis event. I will get the official report up either today or tomorrow.

St. Louis’s Cant Stop The Serenity Charity Screening was held on June 21, 2008 starting at 11:00pm. The event was a wonderful success that provided the opportunity for Missouri browncoats to celebrate Serenity and Equality Now. The event started with a costume contest having male and female character categories. The winner of the male category received a Miranda T-shirt donated by Curious Cat Clothing and the female won the global schwag Silver Serenity Necklace. Proceeding into the night was a Serenity and Firefly trivia contest. Those who answered a question correctly received a goodie bag which contained Serenity stickers, Equality Now brochures and bracelets, Fruty Oaty candy bars, and etc… The next part of the night was the raffle contest which contained all of the global schwag, dvd’s donated by Comics Online, and a Jayne hat donated by Heather Hill at wearwithstyle.com. Additionally, the silent auction winners were announced after the raffle. There were 2 firefly replicas donated by Adam Peevler (the theater manager), a jayne crate (containing a Jayne Hat donated by Mindy, Jayne sketch donated by KLR studios, and several other Jayne inspired items), and a wash crate (containing a Bobble Head Geisha Doll donated by Sarah at http://middypuppy.com/ , a Wash portrait donated by KLR studios, and several other Wash inspired items). After all of the contest, raffles, and silent auctions, it was time to start the movie. St. Louis had 101 browncoats in attendance and donated a total of $1259.85 to Equality Now on July 16, 2008. We would personally like to thank everyone who made this event possible including all of the sponsors (global and local), Adam Peevler (the theater manager), and finally all of the browncoat fans. We cannot wait to see everyone again next year.

Additionally: Three people still need to receive the Serenity 2008 t-shirts. Two of the people were unable to make the screening. The other person’s t-shirt order was not on our final t-shirt list. All t-shirts will be mailed to those who ordered.
