Toronto is holding a screening for the 4th year. Each time we take what works and make it better and look at what didn't and change that to something that will.
This year we are moving to a bigger, more central theatre- The Bloor Cinema. This 100 year old theatre seats close to 800 people and we are looking forward to filling it.

The date is Saturday June 20th and all are invited. The screening will be followed by an auction and then a shindig

The Garage sale is something the street used to do regularly. I just started the idea back up again by putting up signs saying "You wanna have a Street sale?" on 2 streets. Enough people wrote on it "Yes" that I know it will be popular. And street sales always pull in more people than just one garage sale.

In past years we have ordered lots of extra Tshirts and sold them at the screening. This year we have decided to do far less of that.

Going to Anime North?
Keep a lookout for our table there. We'll have tickets for the Serenity Screening for sale, and a few little goodies you might want to buy!
We will also have flyers large and small to take so that you too can help spread the word.
Remember, tickets in advance are only $12.00. At the door they will be $15.00.

Tickets for Dr. Horrible will be sold at the door.

We had a great time at Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog singalong last night. About 70 people came, some driving over 2 hours to attend a 45 minute show.
Thanks to two generous people we had 3 Tshirts as unexpected prizes so we announced an "Evil Laugh" contest to be held after the movie. Close to 20 people took the challenge.
Wow, I'm glad I heard those laughs after spending time in a darkened room with them, not before! :wink:

Wow, 70 people?! That's a heckuva turnout. Gotta say -- Toronto Browncoats are a dedicated bunch.

Anybody get video of the laugh contest? I know if it was last minute, that might not have been arranged. Just curious 'cause it sounds hilarious (kinda like a spork to the leg).
