I am an Australian-born Browncoat who very recently moved to Kent, I am just outside London and dismayed to find that there is nothing firm about a screening there as yet... I personally know at least 4 browncoats who live in London and I've only lived here for a couple of weeks! Surely we can get one happening..

Having said this I am flat broke and might not be in the country for the two weeks leading up to the screening so whilst I would love to offer support and assistance to anyone planning a screening I couldn't realisticly offer to be the main person to organise it all!

I have attended screenings for the last 2 years - it's just on 2 years since I first discovered Firefly actually so that's not bad going! I have friends who were involved in the last CSTS screening in Melbourne and I think others in Sydney! I know the support and attendance can be found, but I don't know how to get it happening!

Haldira, you are awesome! Wish I could just pop over to Texas!

For those up north, perhaps I could make it up there - I used to live in Tunstall (S-O-T) Staffs so I know that area myself - Buxton is pretty and not far from there and it's only half an hour away from MAnchester. I could perhaps combine a visit to my family and friends with the screening as I ought to have the next week off work! (I am a nanny)

Anyway - there are a couple of suggestions and offers of support to consider! PM me if you like - I will check in each day!

I am also a member of the 76th battalion, like Haldira! (don't know if that's helpful - but might be interesting anyway!)

NB: Last year I think the print we used in Melbourne was, in fact, a disc... we were in a 'Art Theatre' which held a fair few folk, but had the ability to screen a DVD copy of the movie - perhaps check with Jenski Jenn on this one, as I wasn't involved in the organisation, but I think I recall someone mentioning it at the time. This could negate any bad quality of print!

I am working very hard to get a screening going using the lecture theatre at my school... I am waiting for the go ahead from my Head, I have already worked on getting the rights for showing the film. One of the boy from my school is helping me which I think is superb, a 14 y old wanting to raise money for a women's right charity!!.
So hopefully many of you will be able to come!
We are planing to have a raffle and a quiz, etc but I will give you all the details as soon as I get the green light.

Hi there, I am trying to get an event organised in Leicester at the moment, not sure how it will work out, but trying very hard. Waiting to hear back from some cinema owners and also have some other venues in mind. If the Leicester one falls through I will happily give anyone else a hand who needs it - I'm pretty good at organising and promoting things - and likewise if anyone thinks they could give me a hand in Leicester it would be very much appreciated!
Would love to see as many screenings as possible, even if it is only small get-togethers, the signal should not be stopped
