Iowa's considering (read: considering) the possibility of inviting a VIP to attend our event. Yeah, I know we're Iowa: cornfields and not much else. But we've got determination. :P

But I know that some other cities had VIPs last year, and I was wondering how you went about it. Especially for someplace like Iowa, knowing what to do to increase the probability of one of the actors/writers/whathaveyou saying yes would be wonderful.

So, if anyone's got any advice at all, it would be very much appreciated!

Dallas managed to score Jane Espenson for their screening last year. You should get in touch with Devin and see how they arranged it.

Jewel Staite attended her local screening in Vancouver but I believe she did that of her own accord. (STILL a little jealous of that one)

I wish you the best of luck. With a good dose of determination, you never know what you might be able to accomplish.
