Greetings everyone!

I just wanted to let everyone know that the website will be moving to a new hosting server very soon. Within the next few days, in fact. The process should go very smoothly, but the site might experience some downtime during the move, no more than a day or two at the max. All email addresses for the Global Team (@cantstoptheserenity.com) will be inaccessible during the downtime, but once the new server is active, the mail system will work as intended.

The move has been prompted by increased site downtime and unresponsiveness with the current host. The new server will provide much needed performance increases and offer a lot of room to expand as we need.

After the site is on its new server home, there will be a lot of updates and changes made to the site and forums. These changes will include new site features and a bit of sprucing here and there to get ready for 2009. Everyone should benefit from these changes, and I'm very excited at the potential for growth this will offer the CSTS site.

I will post more information about the intended updates after the server move has been completed.

The new server has been appropriated and things are getting ready for the move. A note - once I pull the final backup for the forums, I will be taking them offline to prevent posting. You will be able to post again normally once everything is setup on the new server.

The server move has been a complete success. I've already upgraded the forums as well as moved them to the subdomain http://community.cantstoptheserenity.com. Feel free to update your bookmarks, though the old link will redirect here.

If you notice anything fishy around the site, please either PM me here on the forums or post in the .

We are planning on archiving some of the 2008 content, as you can see by the Archive category already setup. This process will be going on over the next few days/weeks as we prepare for 2009 planning.

There is much more in store for the CSTS Global website and forums. Stay tuned!

can i suggest an email out? the only reason i really knew this was happening was because i am still checking the forums semi regularly. many people aren't, and the new diesng is quite different from the old one

I believe as soon as everything is working properly, that we will be sending an email out to everyone letting them know about the changes etc. So I'd say in a week or less, when we are sure all the changes have stuck and the bugs have been swatted, we'll announce it all. We have a call for volunteers going out soon which will be our first missive.

So for those of you who are here, be sure to let us know if you find any problems.

Update

Some might have noticed a brief (10 minutes) downtime on the forums. Was just running an update in the phpBB3 software. All is good now!

So it was like solstice system special! Thanks for the amazing job you are doing with all the computer stuff Ms. Kazia. In case I haven't told you lately, you are awesome. Seriously!
