First off, decide what kind of event you're going to plan.Screening Event
Our main events are Screening Events, which covers all events that include a screening of Serenity. Between your team and the Global Team, you can work out if you are able to have a 35mm print or need to use DVD. This is primarily based on how many 35mm prints are available on your chosen weekend. If there are too many events wanting 35mm prints on the same weekend, this may mean you need to think about changing dates or venues. Affiliate Event
So you’ve looked into how many Browncoats are in your area, and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of them, or maybe all the venues you’ve tried want far too much money. Well this doesn’t mean you can’t be part of CSTS.
Host an Affiliate Event and hold a fundraising event within the acceptable CSTS screening dates. You could hold a bake sale, a BBQ, a carwash, a quiz night, almost anything you can think of that’d make a great fundraiser. Your city’s name will be listed on the main web page, and your contribution will go towards meeting the annual global donation goal.
If you are unsure about what is and isn’t allowed for an Affiliate Event, simply drop us an email, or ask your questions on the forum. No question is a stupid one, and your questions could help us define this type of event better in the future.Confirming CSTS status
Now that you have a venue and date all in hand, it’s time to get Registered to confirm your CSTS status. You must register to become an official part of Can't Stop the Serenity. You should start by completing the Pre-Registration form, while you get your details sorted. Go to the Events
section on our website for more information.Register your Event
Once you have confirmed your venue, date and other details, you need to complete the Registration form. The registration process and dates change each year, so check the Events
section on our website for the latest details.
Once your registration is all sorted, you will become an official CSTS event. Your city will be listed on the global website, and you will be provided access to the Event Organizer area of the forum (where you can find more help, ideas, ask questions and get support).
