San Diego is being finalized today. Screening will be on July 22nd, 10 PM. During Comic-Con, but not a part of Comic-Con. Anyone in the area can attend.

Can someone at CSTS make the change on the schedule?

Is it going to be at a theatre downtown and how much are tickets? Will there be door prizes, silent auction???? Inquiring minds want to know (and can't seem to find anything on the website).

CSTS Vancouver 2015 will be held Saturday, June 20th from Noon to 6:00 pm at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre. Donations will go to Equality Now (75%) and Avalon Women's Centre (25%).

We will be having some of those things. The site will be updated as soon as the papers are signed, which I'm hoping will be today, but may be tomorrow.

The theater is the Gaslamp on 5th, about 5 blocks from the convention center. So it is within easy walking distance, and also near pretty much every restaurant in the area.

We definitely plan door prizes. We won't have much time in the theater itself, so until we have a firm time frame, we can't plan anything extra. The prizes are from CABC though, so there's some good stuff in there.

Tickets will likely be $15. It was a very expensive theater! (blame Comic-Con for that)

Thank heavens this is public knowledge now. Heh.

I'm very excited about this! I've never been to another city's CSTS event! And I know all about expensive theatres, so my sympathy there.

Not too expensive no. Except it's a 5 year old movie. The theater holds 476 though, so we can hopefully sell a lot of tickets.

I'll post the info on the CABC site once we have the invoice paid (tomorrow at this point).

We are currently trying to make this a very special event, worthy of being run during Comic-Con.

But at the very least a lot of out of towners and other organizers will be able to enjoy a CSTS screening who may not otherwise have known about it.

If you live in San Diego or can get the signal, I was interviewed by Fox 5 (I think over the air channel 69) about our CSTS screening next week during Comic-Con. It airs tonight at 6PM. If they put it online I'll post the link. (so you can all make fun of me!)

What a great event!! So many wonderful people. The intro video went down a treat, as I'm sure many of those there were attending from outside California, and hopefully saw photos from past events in their areas. I'm sure more recaps will come soon. Thank you to James and the CA crew for putting it all together.

San Diego CSTS was great, with at least five past and/or present CSTS organisers there (that I know of). It was fun to volunteer for someone else's without having to worry about anything but one job.

Congratulations to James et al for pulling it off so successfully on such short notice. And b!x did a great job in his speech of explaining the start of CSTS and why it should continue. (He did forget about Canada, but Lioness and I reminded him! )
