We have secured our local charity The White Ribbon Foundation (
http://www.whiteribbonday.org.au), which aims to eliminate violence against women by promoting culture-change around the issue. The major strategies to achieve this are a national media campaign as well as education & male leadership programmes aimed at men and boys around Australia.
We will be having armbands and ribbons for sale to support their cause for $2 each on the day.

They're really nice to negotiate with too Jen, I called them this morning to tell them a bit about the event and to ask if they would like to be our local charity, They offered to give us the ribbons and armbands to sell and we got permission to use the resources on their website. Really helped to mention the work that we've done for Equality Now

Sorry for the late update everyone!
Just wanted to let you all know that Sydney raised AU$1400 in our CSTS event this year! We've donated AU$1050 to Equality Now and AU$350 to our local charity the White Ribbon Foundation!
Thanks to everyone who helped me organise the event, and to anyone who came and supported us on the day!

An additional AU$374 is in the process of being donated to Equality Now from the proceeds of sales at the joing Melbourne/Sydney Browncoats Booth at Supanoval Pop Culture Expo (held the weekend before CSTS Sydney).
Which will bring CSTS Sydney's grand total raised to AU$1,774!
