Hi there! This is Joe Jordan, Vice-Chair of Whedonites United out of Nashville. Even though we are actually holding our event in Scottsville, Kentucky, you should consider this a Nashville TN event as well. The reason we are holding our event over the border in Kentucky is to provide you with a unique event in a summer camp environment that mirrors the border planet feel, and gives you a three day window to become part of a community of Browncoats and fans of other Whedon creations. This is our second year of holding our event on this concept, and many of the connections we made last year are still friends we'll cherish forever. The move to the facility in Scottsville, owned by http://www.barefootrepublic.org, is a marvelous upgrade in the experience, because even though we will still get to keep the summer camp, cabin feel, all lodgings for this years event are air-conditioned and handicapped accessible, not to mention they look really cool. The new facility will also allow us to have a Serenity Valley paintball re-enactment for those inclined to physically state their view on Unification. If you'e in the Nashville area, you should check out both the Lebanon,TN event, AND the Scottsville, KY CSTS event, WhedonFest 2010. The Scottsville event is being held by a Nashville and Murfreesboro based group who wanted to add a particular flavor to the event by holding it at a summer camp facility, and found the one that best suited our needs was in Scottsville, KY, just about an hour away.

I for one LOVE what you've done with the event! I won't be able to make it this year, but I'm hoping to find a way to go next year.

Obviously missed the pre-reg, but in the typical last minute method that me and the family follow, we're considering your event. It's closest to us (we're coming south from Louisville), but it being right before school starts means time is precious.

Quick question... if we just show up for registration, are their likely to be cabin spaces still available? As I said, we're notoriously last-minute-ers, and might not firm up the visit until the week of the event.

FHS...Actually..we're not in danger of a sellout yet, but there are 5weeks to go,and pre-reg IS still an option, just not the EARLY pre-reg. We do have a jump in registration fees after July 1st, but we also have a family rate. Do be aware, these are camp facilities for kids..so privacy is not one of our features, but we also intend to have something going on most of the weekend so you probably won't want to be in your bunk except to sleep, no matter what Jayne says.

Woohoo! Weekend was a lot of fun... The site was gorgeous....Couple of bruised theighs during the Serenity Valley Paintball re-enactment, but in a correction to history, the Browncoats WON!....plus..with a smaller turnout..early numbers say we met or beat last years donation total..more on that later!
