I already posted elsewhere the announcement that Jewel Staite will be our special guest and do a half hour Q & A before the movie! Yay!!

This year the BC Browncoats decided to donate 10% of the net proceeds of our screening event to the BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre, a local hospital which provides specialised care for women from all over the province in terms of obstetrics, gynaecology, HIV/AIDS, oncology and much more. This is also a cause that Jewel supports, although we only found out that after we had chosen them as a recipient.

Since we have a larger venue, less costs for the theatre, more time, a silent auction and sponsorship this year, we are hoping that we can raise a large amount of money for both Equality Now and BC Women's.

Well, if we have to stagger dates for CSTS next year, some of us may be able to attend other screenings; probably not Vancouver - Chicago, but Vancouver, Seattle and possibly Portland, for instance! :lol:
