The officers of the Houston Browncoats have granted me permission to try organizing a CSTS screening in Houston this year. I have been reading these boards for a couple of months, so I have a very slight idea of what I am getting into, but suggestions are always welcome.

Do you have a venue in mind? The first thing is to book a theatre and a date and then go from there.

CSTS Vancouver 2015 will be held Saturday, June 20th from Noon to 6:00 pm at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre. Donations will go to Equality Now (75%) and Avalon Women's Centre (25%).

My captains suggested two possible venues. Unfortunately, I live about 100 miles from Houston, so I am not familiar with either, and visiting is difficult. I have spoken to a low-level manager at the Landmark River Oaks theatre, and gotten the contact information for her boss, and I need to contact someone in Austin for information about the Alamo Drafthouse.

On of the threads had a list of useful questions to ask when looking for a venue, which has been good, but I am still not really certain about what I am doing. However, it will all get sorted out sooner or later.
