Signaling Orlando, Florida???

Hello All,
I was introduced to this board a few months back.

A FF/Serenity fan since the first FireFly episode aired and I have been ever since, I have turned many folks on to FF/S around the country who have actually been able to participate in a screeen near their home towns.

With Orlando, Florida being such a mecca for Sci-Fi/Fantasy fans, I am wondering if there had been any talk from others as far as trying to put a screening together.

I did a search on the forum and came up empty.

There was a Jacksonville, FL event on target but that has since been removed for reasons unknown to me.

Sending out a signal to see if there could be any possibilty to set something up in Orlando as this is a hub from many Florida cities.

I would be happy to assist but this seems as if it would be a big job for just one person.

So far, I know DBB is planning a screening for 2009! We're looking for people to help out as well as potential attendees. We've got a venue, just looking for local sponsors and a crowd.

ALSO, the Jacksonville event hasn't really gotten off the ground, but I'm pretty sure Tampa and Ft Lauderdale will be going at it again. So people in Orlando have their pick of events that are within a do-able drive. We're trying not to all do the same weekend so folk have a choice of towns to come to. Or they could come to all three!
