CSTS Global urgently need to fill the position of Global System Administrator. The role has recently become vacant, and we are looking for volunteers who are willing to take on this behind the scenes role. The System Administrator sits under the Global Steering Committee and is an ongoing position. This role is separate to the Webmaster (who is part of the annual Global Team). Reponsibilities: - Ensuring that the web servers, hardware and software are operating accurately [ie. being knowledgeable about the hosting, domain registration, forum software, website software, email provider etc] - Technical administration and maintenance of the CSTS website, forum, email accounts, mailing lists and hosting, as well as all official global CSTS online presences, such as YouTube, Facebook, Yahoo Group and Twitter [limited to just making sure they're working as intended - this role is not expected to do any content management] - Backing up all systems and maintaining the integrity of the CSTS website, email system, forum and files - Working with the Global Steering Committee and Global Event Coordinator to undertake website governance (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Website_governance) [long term goal] - Providing technical support to the Global Steering Committee, Global Team and other users as required.
