Facebook Page vs Group - Should we keep the Group?

Is there any point keeping the Facebook group now that the new groups format has stripped out all the cool stuff?

It seems like the Pages are actually a better option now?

Should we look at transitioning all Facebook Group members over to the Facebook Page and closing the group?

Per the poll, the Group will be closed at the end of 2011. All appropriate communication will be undertaken to encourage folks to move from the Group to the Page.
