The New England Browncoats present the 6th Annual “Can’t Stop the Serenity” Event at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, MA at midnight on Saturday June 25th, 2011.


“Can’t Stop the Serenity” is a global fundraising effort to benefit Equality Now. In the last four years, the New England Browncoats have raised over $20,000, and in total over $500,000 has been raised for Equality Now around the world. You can find more information about the global event at .

Fans of Joss Whedon screen Serenity on his birthday to honor him and to raise money for his favorite charity, Equality Now. Equality Now works to end violence and discrimination against women and girls around the world through the mobilization of public pressure.

In addition to raising money for Equality Now, we will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Greater Boston Food Bank. In the past five years we have collected over 3,000 lbs. of food for the GBFB. Anyone that brings a donation will be eligible for great special Firefly and Serenity prizes.

Tickets: $12 advance, $15 day-of. Tickets are now available at or at the Coolidge Corner Box Office.
