We will be returning to the Alamo Drafthouse Lake Creek for 2 days of Serenity screenings and other great charity goodness.

As all of you know, at CSTS we can screen Serenity, Dr. Horrible. Well, we've been given permission to screen a fan favorite. Stay tuned to and for more updates.

Now is the time to get your tickets to this year's Austin CSTS - September 10th and 11th - held at Alamo Drafthouse Lake Creek. Tickets are on sale online now! They are $18 for Saturday 12PM and 10PM, $21 for Saturday 5PM and $15 for our No Frill Sunday Screening! We have a special treat for our guests this year in the form of screenings of two fan favorite episodes: Firefly's Out of Gas and Buffy's Once More, With Feeling. This is extremely special, since FOX rarely allows public screenings of these episodes! We haven't seen Once More, With Feeling at an Austin CSTS event since 2007!

Check out our full schedule of events, available at our website for details. We have a fun filled day planned on Saturday, complete with costume contests, charity auctions, and raffles. In addition to Serenity and the special episodes, we will be showing Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog again this year. For those who may not be able to attend our events on Saturday, our Sunday event will include only a screening of Serenity and Out of Gas at 12 PM.

Wait, that's not all! During our CSTS events this year and with the help of our friend Stephanie Pellegrin, we are holding a new book drive benefiting Kids Need to Read. For every new children's or young adult book you donate, you will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win one of our awesome Firefly and Joss themed prizes. Some prices are valued for over $100. The person who donates the most books per show will also win a prize. Please see our website for details.

Last year, we raised over $30,000 for charity. This year will mark the $100,000+ total raised marker for Austin Browncoats during our CSTS events. Let's blow last year's totals out of the water! Together we can make Austin CSTS 2011 the best one yet!

Out of Gas and Once More, With Feeling were great on the big screen. We haven't been able to screen those episodes in a theatre since our 2007 CSTS event - it was a great treat for my 5th year as Organizer for Austin's event.

We're proud to announce our CSTS 2011 donation of $38,000. $20,000 was donated to Equality Now (10/13) and $18,000 (along with baby formula and used books) was donated to SafePlace (10/26). We also collected a number of new books for Kids Need to Read. Thank you for your continued support!
