What an awesome way to celebrate!! I hope you'll share lots of photos. Will folks be attending in costume?

Sorry, should have said, it's definitely a costume party - with raffle prizes, firefly themed food and drink, and the auctioning off of a Big Damn Serenity!! (a 4ft paper model of the ship in question)

and of course a handful of fruity oaty bars :-) although the bride may not want to nibble, she'd best not burst out of her blouse! ;-p

So the date is Aug 20th, not the 2nd? Somehow it ended up on the registry as the 2nd....I want to make sure with you all before we change it.
Sorry for the confusion!

Definitely the 20th of August, as the 'proper' wedding is the 19th!

Thanks :-)

The Event is getting bigger and better, we now have live music (6.30-7.30pm), bouncy castle (for kids & adults!), raffles, booby prizes, and more!

Just over a week until the event, and things are going well.

Band confirmed, wedding vows written, costumes organised, about 40 to 50 guests - but happy for more! - but the big ones,

Big Damned Serenity Paper Model (about 4 ft long and 3 ft wide)

AND

Dalek from Weta (12 inch model)

both for Auction on eBay!

Details will appear this time next week...

so stay tuned.

This has got to be the most unusual affiliate event CSTS has ever had - and possibly the most fun. I wonder if there is something Firefly-ish you can call the Bouncy Castle?

Those look like great prizes, firefly 76! Did someone make the space monkey foot warmer, or did it come like that from a store, because I love that.

So, are you ready for your wedding or have you been concentrating all your energy on CSTS?

Wedding? What wedding?

Think we're okay in all seroiusness...getting nervous now.

The space monkey foot warmers were from the box, but I couldn't tell you where from, they were donated by a friend for the raffle! Unused of course!!!
