That's a good start. I got notice that EN has received our donation and am just waiting for one of my co-signers to sign the cheques for our two local charities.

Shouldn't Edmonton's total be higher? The amounts in parentheses add up to more.

Good. :)

Just got our two cheques co-signed so they'll go off in the mail tomorrow and they'll probably be able to confirm our donations next week.

Thanks. Did you send that on to the Events email address?

And you either sold a lot of Jayne hats or charged a lot for them!

did I send my report to the wrong address?

I talked to Amanda at EN and she said they sent a confirmation and that was about a week ago.

Nyssa, What we needed to get from Equality Now is how much the donation was in US $ and that took longer. But we have it now.

As much as I'd like to take credit for sending in 150% of what we raised, the breakdown numbers for Nashville are off above...$2013.19 total $1509.90 to EN and $503.29 to KNTR.

Just a reminder that the post at the top of this thread is being updated as the donations come in.

Though a little late, here is the information from CSTS Seattle.

Our event was August 24-25, the first time we have done a two-day event. Our venue of the past three years, Seattle's Museum of History and Industry, was unavailable this year as they are relocating to a bigger, better place (and one we hope to return CSTS to next year). We considered not having CSTS in Seattle this year, but then we had a very generous donation.

Wayward Coffeehouse in Seattle, the only known Browncoat hangout of its kind, offered itself up to our event. We knew it would thus be a smaller turnout, but it was more intimate.

Each evening of the event we featured Whedonverse Trivia and Geek Bingo, both offering prizes to the winners. The movie followed. Attendees could frequent the coffeehouse's counter for drinks and snacks.

We did not charge admission for the event, relying on donations and proceeds from the sale of our Browncoat goodies.

We estimate a total crowd for the two-day event of nearly 200 all told, though in a setting such as this, true numbers are difficult to come by.

Our total raised after expenses was $1,080.27. Of that, $810.21 went to Equality Now, $162.04 to Seattle Browncoats Charities, and $108.02 to Northwest Harvest.

We continue to be active outside of "CSTS season," with planning for our annual GeekFest event in Shoreline, Washington, on the horizon in December (a geek-themed concert and vendor weekend event), as well as supporting other charities in western Washington through other work in the community.

Thank you all for your patience, and we look forward to great things in 2013!

Keep flyin'!

That is a good amount raised considering you didn't charge admission. I think we should start collecting some of the trivia cities are doing so that other cities don't have to reinvent the wheel if they want to have trivia as well.
