Gloucester, UK Screening June 23rd 2012

Gloucester Browncoats will be holding another CSTS Screening this year despite the fact I'm living away at University at the moment and don't have an awful lot of spare time on my hands, however I didn't want to disappoint my fellow Browncoats and with the help of a few friends we will make the impossible, possible!!!

Of course we'll be screening Serenity again and we should have a 35mm copy of the film (looks like we may be one of a small number of place still to be able to get a copy of it this way).

Also on the night we're looking at having two guest talks on, one is yet to be confirmed and the other one will be via video link....more about this to come soon.......

We're hoping to Screen Dr Horrible this year providing we can get licensing for it.

Other than all that we'll be having a silent auction, lots of fun and anything else that I can come up with in the mean time.

We'll be holding the event in the usual place (The Guildhall, Gloucester, UK) and the timing are yet to be confirmed (all I can say is it will be an evening event as per usual).

Hey Gloucester! Glad to see you posting here and happy you are back!

Unfortunately recently I've been without the internet and thus been unable to post update on here. But I'm back now so I'm here to tell you all what's going on with the event.

The doors will be opening at the Guildhall in Gloucester at 1800 and we're hoping to make a start at 1815-1820 as we have a lovely talk coming to us from Equality Now to kick start the event. After this we will hopefully (providing there isn't an technically problems) be having video link up with one of the Browncoat groups in Canada.

Once we have done the talk and video link we will be getting straight onto screening a 35mm copy of Serenity on the big screen. This is most likely going to be the last year we will be able to have a 35mm copy!!!!!

Because I'm so kind we will have a break after Serenity to give everyone a chance to stretch their legs and to take part in the silent auction. Prizes for this will be announced shortly.

After the break we have decided to show Dr Horrible on the big screening rather than Browncoats Redemption.

After Dr Horrible we will be announcing the winners to the auction.

If everything runs smoothly we are hoping to be finished for 2230 where everyone is welcome to stay on and have a few drinks.

Just to note, unfortunately due to matters out of my hands, this looks like it will be the last Gloucester CSTS for at least the next couple of years. So hopefully plenty of you can make it this year and I look forwards to seeing both old and new faces there.
