The PDX Browncoats are proud to announce that our Can't Stop The Serenity screening is happening on Sunday, June 24th at the historic and proudly sponsored by McMenamin's Bagdad Theater.

We have also coupled with our local Chinese Gardens to do a discussion on Chinese in the Serenity 'verse, and they have donated passes and tea house coupons for our raffle.

We also received authorization through Dark Horse to play Out Of Gas. We kick things off with doors opening at 12:30pm, an opening act of , Out Of Gas shows at 2:00pm, and after a raffle and costume contest we show Serenity.

This is my first year at the helm of CSTS PDX style, and I am really excited for what we have on tap! Literally, on tap at the bar that is at the theater. Please feel free to fly in a hang out at our shindig.

Congratulations on the permission obtained through Dark Horse. That's great news and another great reason why we love DH locally and globally. I really want to attend that one.

Tickets are on sale on our site! Folks who get their tix early will also get in early and enjoy some live music. Tix are $12 pre-sale, $15 at the door.

On Friday, June 22, 6-10 PM, the PDX Browncoats () be co-hosting, with Guardian Games (,) a marathon viewing of The Guild, seasons 3-5 with a sampler of Geek & Sundry (,) as well as a Munchkin Tournament featuring the new Guild booster pack and "Firefly" Munchkin, a combination of Star Munchkin and The Good, the Bad and the Munchkin sets.

Prizes have been provided by Dark Horse Comics () and Steve Jackson Games (.) All this can be had for one 'youth' donation to Raphael House of Portland(,) our local charity.

It's this Sunday people! Time for PDX to get it on, Browncoats style!

PDX Browncoats had a tremendous outing! We had over 450 people (not sure the exact number) that showed at the Bagdad Theater. Everything went really smoothly, people loved the event, and the event owners loved how everything went from our end for them. This was a fantastic CSTS. We also did a Happy Birthday video for Joss:

Portland CSTS 2012 had a great event and donated $6300 to Equality Now and $2100 to Raphael House of Portland!
