We are planning two events this year:

Dancing Monkey Story Time
When: 5:00 PM -10:00 PM, June 8th, 2012
Where: Mirth Cafe - Lawrence, KS (and everywhere with internet!)
Price: Free (Donations to pose challenges to the readers)

Dancing Monkey Story Time is a new event we've added this year. During the evening, will be reading selections of the best, the worst, and the funniest fan fiction based on Whedon shows (with challenges in exchange for donations). We may even include some Whedon-inspired music in the mix.

Can't make it to Lawrence? Well, we're hoping to bring the party to you via a live stream from Mirth Cafe (along with a donation button so you can submit challenges too).

Serenity / Dr. Horrible Movie Screening
When: 7:00 PM, June 29th, 2011
Where: Liberty Hall - Lawrence, KS

Price:
$10 for advanced ticket sales
$12 at the door

A huge shout out to the first affiliate of the 2012 season! My many thanks to the team in Lawrence, Kansas.

Attendance was down a bit this year, but we had a lot of fun and raised some money for Equality Now. Dancing Monkey Story Time had a live audience of about 12 people, with another 2 or 3 online. The Serenity / Dr. Horrible screening only had about 43 this year. The total amount between our Dancing Monkey Story Time experiment and the Serenity / Dr. Horrible screening was $477.71

I think we learned some things and have some new ideas that will turn things around for next year.
