My name is David Williams, however I am known professionally as David D'Anna, and will often go by that name instead. It gets hard to remember who you are sometimes!
I have taken over the Salt Lake City, Utah 2009 event this year, and secured a screening date of Thursday, October 29, at the Brewvies Cinema Pub in Salt Lake City. This is the same place it was held last year, but this year we have Serenity on Blu-Ray and a High Definition Projector at the facility. They just got their beer license upgraded to a full liqour license, but I DOUBT they will have it in place by then. Next year should be REAL FUN!!! (not that this year won't be, because it will be so very much fun)!
I have been in business management for the better part of 24 years, with the last few years taking a stroll on the wild side of life directing short films. I have even had a VERY short film appear in a festival, and that was a pretty good feeling. I am currently working on completing the most complicated short I have ever directed, having used high end full HD cameras at 24p and some slow motion capture for some action scenes, and right now we are busy compiling visual effects that are at some frames as many as 27 layers deep. TOUGH STUFF!!!
This is going to be a great year, and while the time I have to prepare is rather short, saving projects from chaos is my specialty. It is good to make my acquaintance, and I look forward to many years to come with this event.
Ciao
