Hi all!
I'm one of the organizers of Nothing But Red. If you're not familiar with our project, it was born out of Joss' post on Whedonesque about Du'a Khalil Aswad last year; his cry to activism resulted in our anthology, which became available in April. All proceeds from the book are going directly to Equality Now. You can read more about the project at or see the end result at .
Since we're benefiting the same organization, NBR wanted to be involved with this summer's CSTS events, and after speaking to Beth, we came up with a plan – we're offering copies of NBR to be raffled off at this summer's events and to attendees!
Here's the deal:
E-books:
We'd like to make two copies of the electronic version of our book available to each site to raffle off at the event. Our e-book is a color PDF, and usually sells for $5.95. Organizers, we'll leave the raffle up to you – please collect the e-mail addresses of your two winners, and provide them to us at nothingbutredbook@gmail.com, along with who you are and which site you represent – we'll e-mail the winners their e-book directly. If you want to contact us beforehand to let us know your site will be participating, it would be appreciated, but is definitely not necessary!
Print copies:
At the end of the summer, we'll also be raffling off two print copies of the book, which usually sell for $16.95, to all CSTS attendees. To participate, attendees should e-mail their names and mailing information to nothingbutredbook@gmail.com. Organizers, if you could make the announcement at your event (maybe while raffling off the e-books!), that would be awesome.
We also have a flier available for organizers (or anyone else) to print out to help spread the word. It has the e-mail address for attendees to use to enter the print book raffle, as well as a bit of info on the book. (Organizers, you could also use copies of the flier for the on-site raffle – just have attendees tear off a section and write their names/info on it for the drawing.)
And, of course, if you have any questions/comments/concerns, etc., feel free to drop an e-mail to us at the address above!
Many thanks,
Nick
