Umm. see now this is where you having no involvement on the baords previously is an issue.
I ran an affiliate event last year, and quite a successful one. The only reason it was not a fullblown event was that the person who was supposed to run the event pulled out a few months beforehand and stepped back up and threw something together, so don't give me that as an excuse. Just because i am not RUNNING an event this year, doesn't mean you get to assume i am not the chosen 2IC by my replacement.
It was discussed with Anne last year that i would be able to keep my account due to issues pertaining to when i was on team global dealing with certain sensitive issues. At worst i was told i would be granted an
adelaide@cantstoptheserenity.com account which i could transfer emails to. this never happened, and to have my access removed without warning (this dicussion happened months ago) is really a breach of privacy if it has not been deleted, and frankly rude as not to give notice so i can remove the emails. If you checked your mailing list, this is the address i have been getting all my gloabl emails from. So now i dont have those either.
I am very dispelased with the current attitude of not discussing things with people before taking action. no organisation or company would delete or remove access to an email account without notification to clear out what is needed. (ie a 2 week warning)
It's really quite disappointing. i've come to expect better treatment from CSTS global, instead of them assuming things and doing things with my account without talking to me prior to it happening.
I dont mind the email account being closed, it is the doing it without fair warning that bothers me.
Adelaide will hopefully be preregistering shortly, although as far as we knew, veteran cities did not need to do so formally, and i had stated in these forums that Adelaide was in the planning stages.
You may not like me, fine, but you are punishing my successor in your attempts to get back at me. i've run 3 events, and assisted with our first in 2006. how many have you run? how would you feel if you had been there since day one and were treated with so little respect and treated like a newb? you owuldnt like it, so please stop treating veterans organisers in this way. we most likely know more about csts than you do, and your treatment of us, only helps in alienating us, and making us feel unwelcome and more unlikely to continue with the cause.
CSTS has always been about a group of fans, with global to coordinate us, please dont turn it into something altogether different. you aren't a president of a company, you answer to us, and all the attendees across the globe.
